Nice evening dining
We had garlic-tomato pasta and garlic toast.
Both the food and service were very good. The waiters were attentive, but not annoying. I have had these dishes there several times and I am never disappointed.

The only negative is that it is a smoking establishment like most. So if it is busy be prepared for many chain smokers.    [12 Dec 2005 07:07:50]

Not my kind of place
We went to Da Ivo only once for lunch and found that once is just enough. The manager was downright unfriendly and the food average.

Contrary to the claim in the previous review, we were told by the manager that smoking is not permitted - another reason for me to not return.    [12 Dec 2005 21:42:56]

Good ambiance, ok food
The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite nice. However, non-smokers beware as stated. Also, the wait staff were good as written. Although the menu was a bit more creative than most Italian restaurants (i.e. uni/sea urchin pasta) the flavor was a little bland. The cost was a little high and the portions were small. Nothing special
The portions are really small, the price is a bit high and the choice not so wide.
