Being of Maltese nationality but living abroad, i had to try some local food to remind me of my background.

And my husbands choice of the Ghonnella restuarant could not be faulted. The menu is not too large, yet it gives one the feeling of having a lot to choose from. I opted for Mushrooms stuffed with snails followed by a pork fillet -- to die for (very much recommended). My other half wanted to try Kussku, and he wished he could order another portion, but Ray, a charming and helpful Manager (I think), recommended that if hubby ate a second plate he would miss out on the main he ordered. And right he was!
As for wine, I always leave that to my dearest, and he says he could certainly recommend the restaurant to any wine lover.    [12 Jun 2006 14:31:47]
