Our Favorite So Far! We had a good time just eating, drinking and people-watching under the palapa with a cool breeze and a great ocean view and access. [20 Dec 2001 12:28:35]

Great Place to celebrate the sunset It wouldn't be a trip to Puerto Peñasco without celebrating the sunset with a Tecate and a shrimp cocktail. What a gorgeous view....our first stop!
The only disappointment is that on our last trip there (January 2002) they had banned dogs (from the outside eating area) and we had to break a 15 year tradition of strolling down the beach with our two well mannered standard poodles and stopping by Manny's to enjoy a shrimp cocktail and tecate as the sun set. Best Place to go for Breakfast & Bloody Marys Make Manny's Beach Club your first stop of the day! They have the absolute BEST Bloody Marys in town and the food is great, too. Excellent outdoor atmosphere with a wide-open ocean view. Meet up with old friends, or make new ones. Always happy memories from Manny's. [08 Mar 2004 14:17:51]

Can't go to Rocky Point without stopping at Manny's The first time I went to Rocky Point was a ordeal for me. Being raised in Kansas and then moving to Arizona was a HUGE thing. Then to even think about going to Rocky Point was even more scary. That meant crossing the boarder! I will admit when we got to the boarder I panicked, and was totaly uncomfortable with the whole situation. Once we got in to Rocky Point I was still a little nervous. We had our children with us so I had to act excited about the adventure that we where on. We were to go to Manny's Beach Club cause that is where my ex-husband's parents trailer was. Well we got there and just as I got out of the truck a Mexican man came up and was selling blankets. I was nervous about even talking to him, but in the end I walked away with two blankets and a smile on my face. The to see Manny's for the first time. I was amazed..I had this vision of a bunch of drunk people everywhere and for it to be dirty and gross. But it was quite the opposite. The boys (our children) jumped out and like me were just amazed. The ccean was RIGHT there. You could walk 50 yards and be standing in it. There were no drunks around, I am sure there might have been but you wouldn't have known. It was clean, not to mention the people that worked there were awesome. We sat down and ordered dinner, cause after all this was going to be where we had our meals. It was great. I looked at the beach and saw dolphins jumping and that was it... I fell in love with Manny's. The waiters there fell in love with my boys and would come and get my youngest and walk around holding him. My youngest son has really blonde hair and they called him the Spanish name ( I can't spell it) that ment light hair or fair skinned little boy. He would actually come to you when you would call him that. We like it so much that when we came home. We all looked at each other like now what! Within two days we were back at the trailer, and at Manny's and stayed for a month and a half. Just recently I went back to Manny's with my new husband and his sisters and my only request was to stop at Manny's. I hadn't been back for four years and Manny's still felt like home. The only thing that totally that disappointed me was the fence that was put up in front of the ocean view... I LOVED everything has been done the place. My new husband has never been, and since there and the boys were so upset that they didn't get to go! So we are taking everyone in the next two weeks. [08 Jul 2004 17:50:44]

The worst I have been going to Rocky Point for 20+ years, and have never had such terrible food. The tortillas tasted like sand, the chilli rellenos had CheezWhiz. Give me a break. There are too many WONDERFUL eating establishments to waste time eating at Manny's! [09 Mar 2005 16:48:13]

Micheladas! Manny's has delicious breakfasts! It's a great place and you can avoid all of the traffic down by the fish market. My recommendation, chorizo con huevos and a michelada con clamato, por favor! [28 Jan 2006 16:16:57]
