I remember going to the Vink almost every night when I was a student in the Castle program at Emerson College. All I can remember is the good times, the friendly people who accepted us crazy American kids, and the best beer ever! I LOVE THE VINK!!!!!    [26 Dec 2002 15:58:53]

What more could one ask for? Many a cold night spent at this very warm, friendly restaurant. Jos and his family welcomed all of us from Emerson College with open arms. They made the semester special (Spring 1990). See! Almost 14 years later and my fondest memories of that semester were the times at the Vink!    [01 Nov 2003 03:09:51]

I agree w/ Hawaii Girl! I also attended Emerson College's study abroad program and enjoyed the Vink regularly. Jos, the proprietor who recently handed it off to his daughter, was a saint. When the college didn't feed us he would pull out all sorts of food for us. His father hid jews in the basement of the bar during WWII and you can feel the energy of many a spirit who enjoyed themselves at this establishment. Yes the food is pub fare, but it is more the ambiance of a warm Dutch pub that makes it worth it.    [17 Mar 2004 14:18:52]
