Downmarket Dutch food at its best
The Beer chain serves restaurant versions of Dutch snack-bar food, and does it well. It's a great place to go with a big group for beer and lumps of meat with chips. The obvious choice is the satay, with a suitably unhealthy sauce, but the burger is better. Don't order the fish, and don't bring vegetarian friends.    [02 Jan 2004 21:41:37]
