Horrible I can't believe they call this steak. The food was poorly cooked and did not taste good. [19 Jan 2003 19:30:01]

Great Steak Poor Service On Friday the 4th April the service was abysmal. We were ignored by the waitresses and had to suffer the indignity of watching the neighboring table who had arrived 10 minutes after us get served immediately. We had to approach the Duty Manager before we were actually served. The salads were not fresh, neither were the cheese cubes that did not melt on the searing steak.
The only redeemable feature was the affable chef who cooked our beasts incredibly well. [22 Apr 2003 22:54:26]

I Enjoyed My Meal The Food was fresh, the biggest steak meats I have seen. The service was good, the time I was in they were busy, but I didn’t mind waiting. Restaurant was clean but a little bit small. There is nothing like this Restaurant, I have lived in Australia for three years and I find the meat here are not fresh and as big as the meat back home. Angus Is the Best The service and the food is second to none. Every time I have good friends coming over from abroad I take them to Angus Steakhouse and without exception they are all blown away by the best steaks in the country. Discovering the Steakhouse was like discovering El Dorado. I had heard of the legend but until you actually dine at Angus you will never truly experience the culinary delights it offers. People from all cultures gasp in awe of the size of the steaks, even the Texans and Argentineans. Because it is so popular it can appear to be a little overcrowded however the only thing it could improve upon is easier access for people in wheelchairs. And maybe the waitresses can wear shorter skirts but apart from these minor quibbles Angus definitely lives up to the hype. [15 Mar 2004 21:17:01]

Fine Dining? For those of you that want a flashy atmosphere, don't go to Angus. The premise is small and can get crowded and stuffy. For those of you who want an excellent meal, Definitely hit Angus Steak House... Small steaks? Big steaks? It's your pick. Cooked the way you like it. Salads, who cares, your at a "Steak" house, there mainly for the Steaks. Service is what you expect; at least they smile... [17 Jan 2006 22:07:54]

Unforgettable I met a couple of lads traveling in oz and they told me about it so when in NZ we went there and I will never forget it - massive and unforgettable. Sorry fellow steak lovers but you've not lived until you've been in here! [27 Jan 2006 15:57:45]

Excellent Concept and Good Food I enjoyed picking my choice of meat and telling the cook how I wanted it prepared.
I don't understand why they say the service sucked when it was in a sense a self serve restaurant. The waitress brought us our steaks when they were done and our cocktails but the salad bar was self serve and our waitress was very friendly I enjoyed it immensely!
The meat was delicious, it was by far the best food I had while I was in New Zealand and was reasonably priced. I traveled from Auckland to Wellington and ate at a lot of restaurants some fancy and some not. [09 Apr 2006 03:58:46]

Steaks The steaks were tender and juicy and succulent. Real good. I go there at least once a month to savor the flavour in my mouth. The ambiance was very homely...reminds me of my hometown. [09 May 2006 06:21:34]
