We Like This Place a LOT
We've been to Cousinns three times this year and we've been most impressed with it. The first time we were there we had excellent service. I don't say that lightly since we have been going out for mystery dinners all over Christchurch every month for the last 2 years, and I can honestly say that this place has the most attentive and helpful waiters you're going to find. The food was excellent and has always been and they have always been accomodating for picky eaters and personal dislikes, tailoring the menu for us when there were ingredients we didn't like.

We went recently for a set Xmas menu and this was a little disappointing, and not up to their usual standard, and the service was a little below their usual level of excellence, probably because the restaurant was completely full.

Vegetarians especially should love this place...the range might not be great, but the vegetarian dishes are usually a lot more inventive than penne with tomato sauce or quiche, which are the usual offerings non-vegetarian restaurants provide for herbivores.    [03 Dec 2003 04:03:14]
