We chose a bad night
This restaurant has the best view in Norfolk.

Had not been to Mariah's since James of James' Place had taken over. Service was very slow but a Norfolk Jet flight was much delayed and half the staff were arranging a barbecue for the delayed passengers.

Chef's starter plate was disappointing as it was not a selection of the menu starters at all.

My fish was ho hum, but my partner's duck was the star of the evening. A large portion, beautifully cooked and I was jealous.

This has changed hands twice since our last visit - the latest only 6 weeks ago. The views are as good as ever, but the food is a little disappointing. It may improve if it lasts - we will try again next year.    [26 Feb 2006 22:39:20]
