Y for yoshinoya.. Y for yum yum!!! My favorite dish is their "beef rice bowl" that actually is what I eat everytime I drop by the place. Their condiments are "to die for", topped with imported red ginger, 7 spices and kikoman soy sauce, a taste so incredibly "yoshinoya" is created. I top it off with green iced tea and of course, miso soup.
Service: Their crew seemed well trained enough to give satisfaction to their customers. There was this instance that I was with a group of 9 persons, the waiters immediately found a place for us in a jiffy and the waiters were ever attentive.
Ambiance / Other: Compared to Tokyo Tokyo (having similar ambiance, fast food type, etc.) this is one Japanese restaurant without my ever favorite SASHIMI.. but then again, it says that Yoshinoya prides itself for its rice bowl. The price is indeed affordable and since the place opened, I have advertised the place with my friends. It would not be a right place for children's party though, nor a romantic dinner. It is more of a family oriented lunch or dinner.
I am in no way connected with the owner, but I had this sense of connection with the food chain since I had started loving the distinct taste of it way back 1993 when I tried it out in their Robinson's Galleria Branch which closed after a short period. [02 Feb 2002 00:28:26]
