Description
The restaurant is situated in very pretty part of Szczecin on Waly Chrobrego (Chrobry's terraces). It is styled to look like a tavern, all is wooden (including the whole building). The restaurant has two levels. On the lower you'll find bar, lodges and high tables. The bar is the shape of a medieval ship's side, while the nearby fireplace is styled to be aft. The upper level is for people who like discreet and fairly quiet places.

Szczecin's trendy restaurant. The food is rather unexceptional, there is a variety of fish, beef & pork dishes - theese are all well done, but nothing is astonishing. Furthermore there are traditional polish dishes like pierogi (theese are average; the portion is too small) or zurek soup, which, as always in Poland is very tasty and smooth. All soups come in cored bread instead of regular plate.
The most enjoyable food are the salads - always fresh, always well spiced, very tasty and there is so plenty on your plate, that You couldn't eat everything. Prices are reasonble, usually the bill is around 30-50 euro for complete meal accompanied by a bottle of wine for three persons.
The restaurant offers it's own brand of wine. The service is not the best, sometimes you'll have to wait few minutes till anybody comes, but the staff is polite and mostly you will be given exactly what you have ordered. I did not test their foreign language skills, but the waiters are young which in Poland means that they surely can speak basic English, German or Russian.
The restaurant is very popular and therefore often crowded, so it is recommended that you book a table before coming. There are tables outside all summer. [02 Jun 2004 19:56:58]

Excellent Hidden Gem Along the city's historic walking tour from the train station, this restaurant is unexpectedly warm, inexpensive and a real find. The meals were very large (grown men can hardly finish their plates), and although the menu was not overly imaginative, the flavors and textures of the meals were simply perfect. The atmosphere was part cottage, part lodge, part tavern, and part romantic getaway--very inviting and cozy. [28 Feb 2005 08:36:57]

Too little choice of wines We wanted to order two glasses of semi-dry red, but it wasn`t available. Then we decided to take dry red. The table cloth was rather unfresh. [07 Aug 2006 05:36:44]
