Melo Alvim House is the oldest urban manor house in Viana do Castelo. Faithfully restored, this lordly house of the XVI century, has turned into a comfortable and cosy inn. Right in the historical nucleus of the town, this house provides conditions of tranquillity fitting the environment. As details were emphasized to lead the guest through the distinct stages of the history of Portuguese architecture, also the choice of furniture keeps up with the course of the different Portuguese styles.
