Good Food at a Great Price! A great place for a simple authentic Japanese meal. This is one of the better 'family style' Japanese restaurants in Singapore which serves a wide variety of Japanese dishes. [15 Apr 2003 14:27:56]

Lousy food quality for an expensive restaurant Yesterday, my friend and I had lunch at the Hoshigaoka in Bugis Junction; well-known "previously" for the fresh food and presentation. We were very disappointed. We ordered a plate of sashimi that my friend (who is not a Japanese food lover) commented that the sashmi was badly cut and there is no freshness in the fish at all. We ordered another dish where the chicken was not cooked through. It was really unfortunate to return there after so long and find the standard of the food had declined so much.
