Description

This 30-seat restaurant is the first in Singapore to offer a “cold top” sushi counter. For those who prefer alfresco dining, there’s also the 20-seater courtyard environment.

This restaurant knows how to create a real Japanese experience. You will have good memories of the fish liver or grilled eel.    [21 Nov 2006 09:34:17]

I said, ”This is not wasabi, this is wasabi paste! Can i have the real wasabi?” and she said “We don't normally serve real wasabi, bacause most customers cannot tell the difference. If you want it, you need to request it." I didn't believe my ears, especially from a so-called high end place like Kaisan. I’m never going back, I’m not recommending them my friends, it's as simple as that.

Imagine Louis Vuitton starts selling fake leather bags, and they gave an excuse that “Oh, most people can't tell the difference anyway.”

Imagine Savile Row selling super 100's suits and passing it off as super 150's, and telling us that ”most can't tell anyway.”

The food at Kaisan is good and fresh, but if I’m paying S$10-20 for a service charge and high prices for the food, then at least I can get real wasabi WITHOUT having to ask for it!

Quite a few members of staff can't speak proper english (I was told they’re from China), not that this is a big complaint, but I was certainly not expecting this from a high end place.    [18 Jul 2007 11:58:25]
