Regrets
I was there on mother's day with my grandmother. Because I am unfamiliar with the prices of Chinese cusine, I was surprised to see that a mother's day set meal which consist of about 6 courses cost near S$100. Therefore I ordered 3 ala carte dishes (a vegetable, noodles and a fish) in an attempt to save some money. However, to my horror, it still cost me S$100+. The reason was that they gave me a tiger garupa -- supposedly an expensive fish (which i was not aware) and they gave me a HUGE one (900g at $7/100g). Hence the fish cost me $68++ (No wonder the waitress's eyes lit up when I ordered fish and stopped introducing expensive dishes to me). I admit that I was ignorant of the prices at a chinese restaurant, however, the waitress who served us should have the basic morals of explaining the charges to me and given me a fish of size that was more suitable for the consumption of just 2 people.    [07 Jun 2007 23:41:03]
