Coming from Gauteng, I honestly did not expect much of Cape Town nightlife in general. "Ek was net da' vir die snoek en die see". Much to my surprise, I was encapsulated by the rise of bright lights and melodic sounds of the cape as the sun set.

Long street, WOW!
Geared up in my slophies and skirt (this would not go down well in jhb clubs!) I leisurely strolled into the infamous 169 on long, and felt quite at home!
The music was excellent; the crowd was very relaxed, young and with-it almost felt like I had been in Rio, in a really trendy establishment, where only the classy hang out.

169 on Long is one of those rare places where you feel you can go back every-so-often and the whole experience would be quite different from the last, yet still very much enjoyable and exciting!    [25 Sep 2003 06:23:21]
