Watch the boats go by The Greek Fisherman is one of a series of somewhat ethnic seafood-focused restaurants that offers outdoor dining along the wharf at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. I chose it partly because the waitstaff seemed eager for business and partly because the menu ran heavy on fish and light on tripe-based dishes.
Service was quick and friendly, including an offer of a complimentary shot of sherry before dinner. Unlike many restaurants, the Greek Fisherman does not provide the usual bread basket with garlic, cheese, and hot sauce. Dinner was also somewhat pricier than elsewhere. The grilled calamari was fine without being particularly memorable.
The view, however, is excellent. Wear a jacket if it's winter, and go watch the sun set over the water. []
