Just your ordinary post-apocalyptic Italian Primi Piatti's gimmick is a construction site-like setting, with exposed girders and waitstaff in orange hazmat jumpsuits. The trendy setting, cheerful staff, and large portions distract attention from the essential ordinariness of the pasta itself.
A carbonara-like pasta succumbed to the gluiness that plagues uninspired alfredo sauces. It was rib-sticking, not necessarily a good thing for pasta to be. Lone diners beware: non-pasta appetizer portions are too large to tackle alone.
All in all, nothing was actively wrong with Primi Piatti, but it's no substitute for a trip to Rome. []

Appalling Service The food may be great, but try complain about service or the food and you'll see a very different side to Primi Piatti. When it comes to customer service, they have no clue. I have on several occasions found them to be rude, arrogant and offensive. [22 Dec 2003 08:48:35]

Tricky Management While the service is very fast it's also offensive. Clearing plates, wiping tables while your partner is still trying to finish their meal. Their food is on the whole quite good however should you need to complain, take cover from the manager who on 3 different occasions at 3 separate branches, became very arrogant and rude. Basically the attitude is they are right and you the customer has to be wrong - take it or leave it! [22 Dec 2003 08:59:33]

Primi Piatti is the Best Primi Piatti has the best Italian food, the best energetic vibe and the best service that I have encountered in a restaurant. They always make me feel at home. Special recommendation to Primi Piatti.

Don't complain Managers and waiters are rude and arrogant. Heaven forbid you complain about the food - they have no clue about customer service. [16 Feb 2006 08:41:48]

Rude managers and waiters I have never in my life been scolded by a waiter for ordering a small salad as my meal whilst my partner ordered a pizza. I was told to order a main course, or leave!!! Then I was told that they would "let it go this time" (whilst pointing a finger in my face) and that I was never to do it again. It'll give me great pleasure never to go there again. Where do these people come from???? [16 Feb 2006 08:46:53]

Indifferent to customers "We are not doing a customer a favour by serving him, he is doing us a favour by giving us the opportunity to do so." Some of the Primi Piatti shops I have had occasion to visit recently would be well cautioned to heed this advice. Poor service and arrogance from management is the beginning of the end for a consumer based business, despite having a good product. [09 Jan 2007 13:00:46]
