Lunch
It's hard to know the character of a restaurant by sampling only its lunch offerings, and only on its second day of operation. However, I can say that Satang offers a rotating variety of dishes for lunch, with everything from chicken in red curry to pad thai to seafood curry to duck breast and well beyond, and for only about 50 kr. A glance through their dinner menu revealed a well-priced (69-89 kr) variety of dishes, including some spicy salads that I hadn't seen offered here in Sweden before. The lunch dishes are portioned appropriately -- though I should mention that my colleague who is called The Stomach ate two full lunches, followed with an enormous fried banana and ice cream -- and there aren't a lot of cheap filler ingredients, like you see in substandard Chinese restaurants. The dishes seem to be spiced in tune with the Swedish palate, but luckily enough, there are enough deadly little red chilies in the condiment dish to please even the native Thai diners.    [15 Nov 2003 11:19:26]

The best Thai food I've had in Sweden
Satang offers a rotating variety of dishes for lunch, with everything from chicken in red curry to pad thai to seafood curry to duck breast and well beyond, and for only about 50 kr. Dinner offerings are varied, plentiful and well-priced (69-89 kr); the variety of dishes ranges from the usual curries to spring rolls to spicy salads that I hadn't seen offered here in Sweden before. The dishes seem to be spiced in tune with the Swedish palate, but the chef is pleased to add heat to your food if you ask. I was very pleased with my two experiences eating at Satang, and would gladly eat there again.    [17 Jan 2004 17:16:06]

This is my personal favourite
Being a native Malmö citizen and a thai food lover I have tested all local Thai restaurants. This is by far my favourite. The food is prepared with love and care - using fresh ingredients of excellent quality. Ask for authentic spicing, otherwise the spicing will reflect Swedish taste (read: rather mild). The staff are extremely friendly. Be aware though that it is a small restaurant and it can get rather busy. Currently they take cash only. Location close to one of the major business hotels, Radisson SAS makes this a much better alternative than the hotel restaurant...    [06 Oct 2004 11:10:21]
