Simply the best restaurant on Provo! Imagine watching the sun set over Grace Bay as candlelight flickers in the balmy evening air. For incredible ambience, look no further than Anacaona. This open-air restaurant with thatched roof offers romance, relaxation and simply fabulous food. For a unique start, try the lobster salad. Different from traditional lobster salad, it is served warm and is a taste sensation. Or try their Caribbean Lobster entree. Its mild, sweet flavor is the best to be found on the island. Prepare to spend a good amount of your evening at this upscale eatery. Service is relaxed, which is just what you will want as you savor the incredible views and gourmet food. Finish the evening with one of their specialty coffees or sinful desserts for a perfect ending to a perfect night. Not inexpensive, but worth every cent. You will remember with longing an evening spent at Anacaona. [24 Mar 2002 23:33:17]

Anacaona The food was excellent, ambiance was wonderful set in a candlelight atmosphere with tradewinds and a beautiful sunset. Service was excellent. It was well worth the money and provides a lasting memory. I can't wait to return. [01 Aug 2002 15:24:13]

DO NOT GO TO ANACAONA We went to Anacaona on August 29th, 2003. The setting was beautiful, but the it was not worth the money spent. The food was terrible!! My husband ordered a rack of lamb and all he got was one riblet, NO RACK!!! I ordered a lobster tail that was like rubber and tasted terrible. I had lobster tail two nights prior at Mangos Reef and I got (2) tails, not just one. They were the best I ever had and were 10 dollars cheaper. We wasted $110 on this Anacaona and would recommend NO ONE go there unless you want small portions and terrible food. We spoke to the manager and told her that there must be a misprint on the menu and she could not explain why we only got ONE rib. We ended up going back to our hotel to eat because we were still hungry after the puny portions at this restaurant. [02 Sep 2003 13:28:39]

The best restaurant on Provo after Simba Only Simba was able to beat out this restaurant for food and service. The setting at Anacaona next to beach is incredible. Do not arrive even one minute early as you will be banished to the bar. Once in we had the choice of table or booth. We chose intimate booth on back wall. Servers were prompt but not rushed, varied and attentive. Totally relaxing. Appetizer was shared conch fajita. Chef very nicely split the dish on separate plates. Unexpected touch. We ordered seared local snapper. Totally fresh and cooked to moist perfection. Dessert creme brule was outstanding. Lots of little extras along the way. Start to finish was smooth, relaxed, well timed and we were quite surprised to note that the experience was 1 hour 40 minutes. It seemed much less. All well timed but unhurried.
