Best Bread Pudding in Bath! It's a bit out of the way set up next to the Royal Crecsent but worth the trip.
Food - is simple, comtemporary but well put together with nice ingredients. I had the Lamb cutlets, with Rosemary which where just right... the rosemary tasted right through to the jus without overpowering! My champions had other dishes that they equally enjoyed!
Desserts - My friends & I did a survey of Bread Puddings in Bath, and this was clearly the best we found. Good size puddings & they are happy for you to share.
Service - can be a little slow depending on how busy they are, I don't think that they have a very big staff, but they are prompt/polite and I don't remember ever having cold food Ambience - Sometimes early it can be a bit quiet but you sit down order some good wine, get engrossed in conversation and the next minute you look up the place is full! How did that happen? Background music that's not so loud that you can't talk over it. Ideal place to go with good friends for good food & a bottle of wine, when you are not in a rush & want to talk the world to rights!. [06 Aug 2002 08:48:21]

Agreeable The Circus does something English restaurants generally don't do well: it is stylish, comfortable and of high quality but also relaxed and convivial. A perfect place to take one's partner for a Saturday evening supper just to unwind and chat with each other. It is smarter than 'homely' and not at all stiff.
There is no english word to describe its stylish cosiness but the Dutch word 'Gezellig' and the Danish word 'Hyggelig' describe it perfectly.
Food is well cooked, agreeably low in stodge and well-thought out.
Service is friendly and relaxed.
The seats could be more confortable though. [13 Jun 2005 04:58:06]
