Description

Customers fill up bowls using Mongolian food and sauces from a food counter. Afterwards, the chef will cook the food the customers present. Strict vegetarians must tell the chef.

It was a monday evening when we went for a birthday meal. It was very quiet, but I believe weekends can be very busy. It worked out at £13 a head with starters. The food was lovely, I can't fault anything. There were prawn crackers and seaweed on the table when we arrived, the starter was a selection of prawn toast, samosa and spring roll. For the main meal you select the raw ingredients, add herbs, spices and sauces of your choice and take it to the hot plate where they cook it for you. There are recipes all over the place for you to use or you can use your imagination. When you go back to your table you will find bowls of plain rice. The service was excellent, everyone was friendly. We had a really good and inexpensive night out. The only thing I can pick fault with is that it wasn't very warm in there.    [13 Feb 2005 09:42:28]
