Busy busy
I hadn't been to an Old Orleans for some time, until last year, and was quite surprised that their menu appears to have shrunk and become far more "mainstream". Then it was either short staffed or just too busy. We got a table quickly but then it took a lot of effort to get service. The food was fairly bland too. You'll be disappointed !
In the past month I have been to Old Orleans at Star City twice and have been disappointed both times. The decor is quite atmospheric but the service is appalling. Even when not busy the food and drinks seem to take eons to arrive and then the food is fairly bland when it finally turns up. O.K. price wise but the whole experience just tires you out, especially as there is a total lack of air conditioning !    [11 Aug 2003 09:09:03]

Great Place!
What can I say?! The fantastic food and cocktails draws me to Old Orleans time and time again. There's quite a few places to eat and drink at Star City (and I've tried them all!) but I love Old Orleans! It's friendly and atmospheric. A great place to relax with friends. Sometimes have to wait for a table on Saturday nights, but that's expected in such a popular place. You can just walk in during the week & they can usually sit you straight away.
