The upper floor is accessed by a spiral staircase, limiting disabled patrons to the lower floor which is also the smoking area. Tables are very closely packed so it would be advisable to phone ahead to allow staff time to rearrange things.

Description

A small and friendly restaurant, Coriander is close to the centre of Bournemouth meaning that it is almost impossible to park nearby. The smoking section is on the ground floor with a spiral staircase leading to the non-smoking area.

Each place setting is laid with a sheet of copier paper and a pot of crayons is supplied to allow you to doodle while you wait for your meal.

At the end of the evening, the bill arrives with a little pot of coriander seeds to allow you to practise Mexican cooking in your own home. Collect enough of these pots and you are entitled to a free meal.

When can I move to Bournemouth?
I visited with my friend, Laura, about 6 months after she's been in Mexico for a month. We'd been shopping and wanted a quiet, non-chain resturant to eat out fill before moving onto the cinema later in the evening.

Coriander was just fab. The waiters were fun, approachable and helpful. The food can so fast I couldn't believe it and we had such fun doing our doodles even during the meal!

It wasn't over priced, and the pot of coriander to take home just topped it for me. All I want to know is, when can I move to Bournemouth so I can eat there more often?    [15 Jan 2003 17:04:04]

This is the WORST mexican restaurant I've ever visited. The ambiance, decor and staff is good, but the food is HORRIBLE. The cheese dip was tasteless and very watery. The rice did not have any flavor, if I wanted to eat boiled rice I would've gone to a Chinese restaurant.

My wife and I ordered fajitas for 2 and my son's fajita plate had more chicken strips than ours.
