Perfect lunch
Sauntering in alone, unbooked at 12.20 on a Wednesday I was allowed to choose my seat even though the restaurant subsequently filled rapidly and I was hogging a table for four. Charming, friendly service recommending Penne with chilli, wild mushrooms and chicken as the special. I ordered it and was not disappointed. Easily the best penne dish I have ever had anywhere in Europe or the USA. Not stodgy and with a real bite to it. Excellent large glass of well chilled house white and double espresso to follow. Relaxed but up-market ambiance with good, simle decor and unobtrusive but intersting modern music. Go there.    [18 Nov 2002 17:03:47]

A tip for anyone dining at an Ask Restaurant...
If you are the tipping type, and want to reward your waiter or waitress for the good service then please leave it in cash! Otherwise you are only further funding the restaurant as the company takes any credit card tips! Outrageous and very demoralising for the waiting staff as you can imagine!    [10 Feb 2004 13:37:43]

Superb supper
Dined here with friends for the time while waiting to go to a ballet at the Hippodrome, superb staff, very informative and friendly. Pasta dishes were just the very best, will be going back in late November to enjoy it again.    [06 Nov 2005 17:16:11]
