Fantastic Everything you'd want for a night out with friends. We had a fantastic night, the staff were superb, the food was gorgeous and the ambience was terrific. Best restaurant I've been to for years, and certainly the best restaurant I've ever been to in Bristol. [13 Feb 2006 12:00:54]

a cropper It's gone upmarket and come a cropper: the former Italian menu now aspires to modern creative european cooking, and fails dismally. One Saturday night we were kept waiting for over an hour for our booked table, not a handful of olives or even peanuts on offer. When the food eventually arrived, it was unnecesarily complicated and uniformly tasteless. The service, by young and very untrained staff, was a disaster. When we queried the previously unannounced 10 per cent service charge, the owner threw a tantrum worthy of Gordon Ramsay himself, and suggested that we did not return. We won't.
