Description

Not your average meal out. There is an Edwardian theme to the 6 or 7 course meals served, with the staff in full costume and red velvet decor.

Unique methods, average food
Unique serving method (i.e. presenting each choice of course prior to requesting your decision) does little to hide the disappointingly "average" quality of the food. The menu apparently changes daily, so I can't recommend a dish - go for what looks good! It seems that you pay for the 7 courses (all sensibly sized) rather than the quality of the food. What's more the Edwardian decor could do with patching up; it's all a bit tacky and tatty. Pleasant enough but I wouldn't make a trip back.    [09 Jun 2003 12:20:09]
