Things have certainly gone down hill in my view. Whereas previously, the chef was able to cope with seemingly complex dishes with lots of sauces and mediterranean touches, this time chef was struggling with the mixtures. I had a stilton and celery soup which tasted like Heinz, and an artichoke and aubergine in filo pastry. The aubergines were dry, shrivelled and burnt and the artichoke vinegary, and there was more pastry on my plate than I knew what to do with.
