Not exactly the sort of restaurant one would necessarily expect to find in the home base of England’s leading cleric, but then again, why not? Given the fact that Canterbury’s gastronomic standards are not of the most spectacular we should be grateful for anything. Very small, noisy and full of zest Café des Amis is in any case well above the norm for its kind. Ever had a duck burger – no? well, this is your place. It always seems to be full so clearly many others agree.
