Fantastic Service, Great Food Huge restaurant, so unlike your typical Indian cupboards that are dotted around the UK. The waiters at Everest will make you feel incredibly welcome and the food is very good. Well worth a visit if you are in Cheltenham. [05 Jul 2002 15:01:55]

Tasty and Man-Size Portions They really know how to make a man-sized Persian Dhanzak dish with lentils and the right amount of lemon juice, and if you order the tandoori mixed grill, there is a huge amount of meat. The service is unpredictable, and the coffee machine has been 'broken' for months, but overall this is easily one of the best indian restaurants in the UK. [27 Dec 2003 11:29:34]

Top, Top Restaurant I'm a regular and after much searching (and believe me i've been to them all!), i can proclaim The Everest to be Cheltenham's premier Indian brasserie. A cut above anywhere else in terms of food, definitely go there and simply indulge. Excellent service, especially a handsome young barman by the name of Ali! [15 Apr 2004 19:47:05]

Lovely food! Very nice restaurant, with good quality food, booking recommended at weekends as we had to wait a very long time for a table before and the wait for food can be ages but in the week its lovely and has good service. The chicken dishes are great with good portions. Be warned the Jalfrezi is very hot!!! [01 Jan 2005 12:42:39]

A Real Disaster. My soon to be Wife had an awful experience at the everest last night. I'm not sure why everyone has heaped praise on them above, perhaps they're just being English and polite.
I found the service to be non-existant, they took our order after 20 minutes, made us wait over an hour, only when I went to ask the owner if they had forgotten about us did he say 'Oh, I think its on its way'. The food wasn't as we had asked or to our liking, they may as well have got it out of a tin... To top it all off, music from the 80's was invasive and irritating. I have eaten at many Indian restaurants, near the 200 mark and this ranks as pretty near the bottom. [11 Oct 2005 10:45:56]

Definitely One Of The Best I've Benn To. I dont know why Khalid had such a poor experience. Every time I've been the Everest has been spot on. And the staff actually speak English unlike many places these days. Excellent staff and the food is just what Indian food should be like. [16 Feb 2006 07:57:59]
