We ate here on a Sunday evening, which is not a busy part of the week but the Indus had a reasonable number of customers. No more outstanding than many other Indian restaurants but it is clean and friendly and the food is served efficiently. It has the ubiquitous Indian piped music but it is not intrusive.
The menu is more extensive than some Indian restaurants and includes a "fusion" section which has lightly spiced dishes for the more wary diner.
The Tandoori King Prawns are excellent; huge and well cooked. The Garlic Cheese Chili Nan is unusual, and well worth trying. []

Very Poor Service We ordered a take away, paid and drove home. When we arrived home we realised that we had been given 1 nann bread instead of 2 and the one they had given us was extremely burnt. We ordered vegetable rice but we had been given plain. We ordered a chicken Korma and it looked like yellow water with chicken swimming in it. The only thing which was satisfactory and right was the Chicken Tikka Masala. I rang up to speak to the manager. The man who answered the phone told me that I would receieve a phone call the following evening and I would receive some food back because of my bad order. The following night I was not called so I rang up. I spoke to the same person and he said he would ring me back shortly after speaking to the manager, I waited an hour and then gave up. Very poor indus, very poor indeed!!! [10 Oct 2005 17:11:13]

Always Good. By far the best that i've tried in Cheltenham - Balti chicken saag is very good indeed. Always tastes fresh and the staff are very inviting. For a large party its definately worth going for a starter platter. Decor is fantastic too! Enjoy! [04 Oct 2006 12:06:26]
