Special Occasions
This restaurant is in the atmospheric and well-heeled town of Farnham in Surrey. It is the place to go for a special occasion as it's quite expensive, although the lunchtime dishes are more affordable.

The quality of the food is universally high - it comes hot from the kitchen and all staff are incredibly friendly.

There is a wide range of fish dishes, although vegetarians will find the menu limited. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the dishes on offer.

Vienna Excells In Poor Customer Service.
Having placed our order in the Wine Bar for lunch the waiter took the order only to return and announce the kitchen was shut. Given we had been there for 20 mins prior having pre-dinner drinks, he could have asked us earlier whether we were dining. Mentioned the matter politely on leaving not her problem if staff didn't have the gumption to ask if we were dining the manager ignored our comments and indeed she proceeded to walked away from us. Clearly the restaurant no longer believes in customer service, fortunately there are other excellent restaurants in Farnham which do offer both good food and excellent customer service. Stunning food and service
Once again this restaurant delivers a superb evening. I understand that the owner has now gone back into the kitchen to revive the old menus. These are as good now as they ever were. The food, wine and service is of the highest quality, and the wine bar makes for a pleasent place to have a few drinks both before & after the meal. This restaurant has been sucessfully in operation for some 20 to 25 years now & I see no reason for it not to continue.    [13 Aug 2006 07:20:35]
