Falling Star More Like Since a change of ownership a couple of years ago now the Spread Eagle has nose dived into the bawdy depths of making money without worrying about quality, cleanliness or customer relations. Tis a shame, a great shame. [29 Dec 2003 11:21:55]

Great The Spread Eagle has still constitutes one of the few options for eating out in Hereford. It has recently been sprussed up (refer to critique above) and its menu has substantial breadth and depth (something for all). The food is home made, which makes a change from the usual rubbish other establishments expect us to eat.I took my family for lunch on saturday and then met some pals in the evening for a nice beer, this pub caters to all. Enjoyable Recently had a day out in Hereford and found ourselves at The Spread Eagle for lunch. My friend and I both really enjoyed the food. Can highly recommend the Smoked Haddock Salad with the shallot dressing. Also the Smoked Salmom and salad. Would definitely eat there again. We were making for the Left Bank village but on arriving there after our lunch we found only Charles' Bar open and quite pricey but a lovely location. [27 Sep 2005 15:37:18]

Biggest Choice in Town Eaten here several times and never had a bad meal - don't know what Freddie the Frog is on about - a huge range from sandwiches and salads to fish, curries and pasta, and a fantastic sausage and mash selection. All pretty fresh and locally sourced where they can.
The only thing I don't like about this place is - no mobile phone reception. On second thoughts that's not such a bad thing... [16 Jun 2006 11:28:22]
