If Only All Pubs Could Be Like This. If only all pubs could be like this! Great beers (5 on handpump when I visited, and they'd just had an annual beer festival featuring 15 real ales!), as well as excellent food - unpretentious and great value, given the quality on offer. Quite rightly Herefordshire Pub of the Year 2006, amongst a clutch of other awards I saw hanging on the walls! [15 Aug 2006 20:03:23]

Wellington Boot. I have eaten at the Wellington but would not return, the food was awful, the plates were dirty, the staff were all kids & the wine was crap!
I would not even go for a freebie. [22 Aug 2006 14:57:15]

Doesn't Live Up To The Hype The Wellington is highly acclaimed, but for me it was a real disappointment. The atmosphere is good and the front of house staff were also fine, but the food was well below par and my husband and I both had problems with our food arriving cold. We understand the owners were not there on the night we visited, but it doesn't seem reasonable that standards are allowed to slip so much. We will not be paying a return visit - there are plenty of better options elsewhere. [02 Nov 2007 13:54:42]
