Enjoy a quiet evening meal This excellent Chinese Restaurant is enough to seat a good few people, yet manages to maintain a personal service, Mr Chu's is the place to enjoy a quiet evening meal, or a large party.
The food is excellent, providing old favourites such as shredded duck pancakes as a starter, as well as more 'esoteric' dishes for the brave.
Prices are mid range, a meal for two including a bottle of wine or sake is unlikely to cost more than £50.
I wholly recommend this restaurant, give it a try. [18 Jul 2000 09:49:15]

We went to Mr. Chus! It looked nice but there wasn't much vegetarian food. [04 Feb 2003 03:19:19]

I came to the restaurant on New Year's Eve 2003 and found the food to be excellent quality and the service to be great. I throughly enjoyed myself throughout the night especially as the disco was fantastic. The entertainment was of a professional standard and I would recommend the venue to anybody for a great evening out. I felt totally relaxed and well looked after. I won't forget where I was on New Year's Eve 2003 as the time I had there will not easily be forgotton. Keep up the good work! [28 Apr 2004 19:11:53]

Poor service Food was good but if you want a drink with your meal I hope you are luckier than me. Very poor service, don't expect an apology when they try to charge you for a round of drinks you never received, or a reply to an e-mail when you complain. [14 Sep 2004 17:02:45]

Fantastic I went to the restaurant for one of the cabaret nights and I can thorougly recommend it to anyone. The food is great, the service is quick (especially the drinks) and wonderful. The staff are pleasant and attentive and the entertainment was of a good standard. Will be going back there sooner rather than later! [04 Apr 2005 15:41:58]

very good. The service and food was of a good standard, especially the food. The only downside is the surroundings. Entering the restaurant, there was a stale smell and the river humber isn't one to get excited about, it is all brown and the view on the other side is all industrialised. Other than this, overall it was good. [02 Aug 2005 08:24:14]
