The whole of the dining area and toilets seemed to be readily accessible; also most of the garden too.

Description

The Jolly Sportsman's very rural location makes it difficult to find. It's about 5 miles north of Lewes (from the A275 at Offham turn left onto the B2116), there are detailled directions on the pub's website. It's closed Sunday evenings and all day Monday (except Bank Holiday Monday lunchtimes).

Good Service.
For the starters I had the goats cheese crostini and wife had the onion tart. Tart looked like any quiche you buy in M&S though tasted nice. My starter was nice though. Main course was fish and chips for me and rib eye steak for wife. Fish and chips were okay, though you can't bugger that up. The steak on the other hand was very ordinary - definitely not £17 worth. 3 overboiled potatoes did little to liven it up. Service was good at all times though - maybe if wife had chosen the beef bourginione she may have been happier!    [02 Feb 2007 15:56:26]
