This place is disgusting!
We were disgusted with every aspect of our meal.

Upon being seated we were left to languish for 15 minutes, before being asked if we would like a drink while we looked through the menu.

This wasn't because the staff were busy, as there were four waiters standing round talking amongst themselves!

After we were finally served, our starter arrived, the "Prawn Cocktail" that was delivered was actually a pre-frozen shrimp cocktail, that had been left soaking in water for too long! The "Breaded King Prawns" that were delivered had been over cooked and were rubbery to eat.

We chose this restaurant because we are backpackers, watching our spending, thus we hadn't had a good steak for quite some time, and decided to treat ourselves. We ordered our main courses: one Entrecote Steak with asparagus tips accompanied by sautéed potatoes and cauliflower. The 'asparagus tips' were two tinned spears, and the 'sautéed potatoes' were commercially prepared deep fried wedges. The 'cauliflower' was accompanied by a mornay which was not mentioned in the menu, and was also over cooked.

We also ordered Tournedos Steak with the same accompanyments. The steak was ordered to be cooked to medium-well, but was delivered medium-rare. We requested that this be rectified, which the staff did without question. Great! A new piece of steak was delivered, only to discover this was also cooked to a medium-rare degree. Once again it was returned to the kitchen, where the chef microwaved the meat! Not exactly what you would expect! The meat was a grey/white colour, and when the waiter was questioned, he seemed genuinely surprised that we even recognised that fact!

As for the service, the staff were lazy, rude and generally didn't care what kind of reception you received.

This would be the worst place (I can hardly call it a restaurant) we have ever eaten in, and I will never recommend this establishment to my worst enemy!    [30 Oct 2000 17:59:42]

Worst Ever Meal
After waiting to be seated at a table that had been empty for 10 minutes, and ignored by 4 waitresses, we were shown the menu. The menu is extremely basic, the quality of the food served is extremely poor and the overall price is extortionate. Having suffered the bad service and witnessing the staff wipe the food scraps onto the floor, I was overcharged. I asked the manager for the change to be corrected, but the waitress had mysteriously disappeared.    [29 Nov 2003 14:19:57]

A Lot Of Changes!!!

I've visited Angus Steak Houses a few times. A year ago its level was low. When I came back this year I found it very surprising to get wonderful service and good food. I asked my waiter what had changed. The answer was 'owner'. Results are obvious.    [17 Dec 2004 19:43:00]
