Outdated
I used to go here in the 1980s. At that time it was the place to eat out - good, friendly staff and fabulous food. For a little nostalgia we returned. Decor was unchanged, but still works. It was nowhere near as busy - you can't help feeling the outdated presentation of food, and unfriendly staff explain why. We felt awkward asking for a dish to be explained. For the starter I had a prawn cocktail which was a pathetic asameze dish. Chicken had flavour but was dry, and the salad I was expecting with it was just a slice of lettuce, and presented as such. A lot of time seems to have been spent on 'salad shapes' shame more time not spend on throwing a little more salad on the plate, and presenting dips etc in a more up to date manner rather.
