We have been to this restaurant twice now - in groups of six and then eight -and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The first time was during a Christmas rush period and still the service was prompt, courteous and efficient.

I had a big bowl of mussels both times, as they were so delicious. The silence descending over our group was indicative that everyone else found their meals superb, too.

There is an excellent wine list and the bar staff know what they are talking about.

We were greeted the moment we came in, our coats were taken and we were given wine lists in the bar. The restaurant tables are in rooms open to the bar but with a separate cosy atmosphere.

Overall, the Bunk Inn is relaxed, excellent food, and good friendly service. I would highly recommend it and look forward to going there again.

It is also very reasonably priced for such good food. Excellent gastro-pub food in unpretentious surroundings.    [21 Feb 2006 07:30:06]
