My All-Time Favourite Restaurant
I started going here many years ago with my ex, and took my husband there just after we met. Service is consistently friendly and efficient, food always wonderful (although a couple of times I have picked something I wasn't so sure about afterwards, it has always been very good) and wine list to die for.

The location is second to none and in the summer the restaurant will call you on the day of your reservation to ask if you'd like to sit outside. They keep certain wines by for you if they know you are coming and remember you even if you haven't been for ages. I have never eaten in the "proper" restaurant as the Boathouse fulfills my needs and requirements. I love it and thoroughly recommend it.    [21 Nov 2001 06:39:01]

Disappointing
I had made reservations the previous evening and requested a faxed menu which was fine.

Unfortunately, when we arrived for our meal, there was no record of our reservation, but they managed to squeeze us in.

Our meal was spoiled by too many flies around tables in Boathouse restaurant. I was having to swot them away from us.
