I wouldn't recommend this place...
The food and service at Miahs (Spencers Wood) has declined considerably. The staff were rude and the restaurant was looking shabby. Then the food... over-cooked, over-spiced and over-flavoured. I would have got a better taste of India out of a jar from the supermarket.

Good food, rude management.
I have visited the Garden of Gulab many times over the past ten or so years, and have always been impressed, but after a recent visit following an eighteen month hiatus, I can safely say I will not be going back. Ever.

Whilst the food was good and the waiters effiicient and courteous, I left with a very bad taste in my mouth. The manager was by turns, dismissive, rude, unpleasant, abusive and ultimately agressive, leaving my girlfriend visibly shaken and upset. The customer is always right? Not here.

If you want a nice romantic evening, I strongly suggest you go elsewhere.    [05 Jun 2007 17:30:25]
