Langleys Bistro Langleys is a real joy. Super menu with lots of vegetarian, fresh fish and innovative food to choose from - almost too many desirable dishes - making it hard to decide!
Owners are very accomodating and stress as everything is cooked to order, everything is possible and if they have the ingredients they will ensure you have what you enjoy most. They said with 24 hours notice they can prepare anything from Chateaubriand to a huge Fruits de Mer platter to rival France's best.
It has been so long since we went anywhere so welcoming and amenable. They really try and the staff are relaxed and friendly too. Langleys has a private dining room upstairs for up to 40 and we are seriously considering it for our friend's suprise 40th birthday. Go to this restaurant soon - it's brilliant! Student Review Compared to what I normally expect for dinner (being a student), this restaurant was outstanding.
The food was good, and the service was exceptional - as my girlfriend is allergic to nuts, but wanted a dish with nuts in it. Much to our surprise, the owner agreed to have the meal cooked without nuts; and the dish was still exceptional! [17 Mar 2001 13:31:04] [06 Oct 2004 22:36:54]

Dodgy Snobby and Expensive We had the displeasure of dining at Langley’s the other night. When booking we had to pay a £10 per head deposit. When we turned up at 8pm we were one short and we in the half full understaffed so called restaurant were instantly treated like outcasts. Our food took 2 hours to reach our table and we eventually left at midnight (Due to the food being so late). To top it all they tried to rip us off by not refunding our deposit and charging us for more wine than we ordered. Getting this money back less the £10 for the member of our party who did not turn up was like pulling teeth. The food was ok though when it arrived, although the signature dish looked like it had been signed by a rather tired and overworked chef. [07 Mar 2005 04:59:35]

Disaster. It was just so bad but in a short it was over rated. [09 May 2006 12:59:52]
