Excellent restaurant Very nice restaurant on the outskirts of Whitstable. Excellent menu with all the correct finishing touches both in ambience and food.
Worth a visit. [08 Mar 2005 14:10:56]

Quality Restaurant Beau Rivage was a wonderful surprise! Great food, nice surroundings and lovely location, 2 minutes walk from the beach! We'll be back - for the food, service and feel-good factor! [25 Apr 2006 09:09:35]

Great food, excellent service Took some friends here for a celebration meal. The menu and the food were top-notch. Unlike most places in the Whitstable area, the service was excellent and the owners even stopped by for a chat. I would highly recommend Beau Rivage to visitors to the area. [17 Jan 2007 06:18:50]

Student birthday with parents We enjoyed an excellent saturday lunch time birthday meal with our daughter who is studying at Canterbury. The vegetarian nut cutlet was moist and full of flavour and the mackerel simple and tasty. Before the meal we enjoyed browsing in upmarket Second hand shops and after the meal had a good walk along the foreshore. Where the locals eat for attentive and personal service. Worth Recommending Attractive restaurant with comfort feel as soon as you walk through the door. Friendly waitress although service perhaps a little too brisk at times - maybe due to lack of covers on our Friday night visit. Food is excellent - very nicely presented and extremely tasty. Extra touches such as olives and bread were appreciated. Only down side was having to spend over 10 minutes listening to proprietor sorting out staff rotas on the phone at the bar (does this double as an office?) - otherwise a little gem of a place in Tankerton and well worth a visit.
