Great From the minute we walked in to the minute we left Copper, every thing was a delight.
They add some really nice touches to the whole experience! All the food is cooked in the restaurant from scratch and you can tell, the waitress could tell us exactly what went in to each dish and how it was made which is very rare in this part of the world (both the waiting staff knowing what is in each dish/taking time to explain these things and the food not being the usual processed tined, frozen massed produced muck thats about these days. The toilets are another gem, clean & well appointed, they even have proper handtowels & aftershave/perfume! Back to the food, my partner isn't the most adventurous and the staff were really helpfull by carefully suggesting dishes she may like, fussy as she is she made her own dish up (the waitresses idea) and was delighted with the fact that the chef honored this agreement with a dinner "made in heaven just for me" as my lady friend put it. It seems that anyone & everyone goes to Copper, from a young - in there teens - couple on one side of us to a group of 60 year olds on the other side of us, though there were no children on this saturday night in question, when I asked our lovely waitress about the kid situation I was informed that children are more than welcome though many people opt to bring them early on in the evening or during lunch, she also told us that while kids are welcome Copper's policy has always been that they won't serve anything they haven't made themselves, so burgers, sausages and other processed food that others offer children aren't available, the restaurant has had this policy long before Jamie Oliver started his tv campaign, and so kids are offered half portions or whatever their creative minds can come up with for the chef to cook, usually chicken/fish & chips. I for one have to applaud Copper on this as they are the only restaurant in the area I'm aware of to take such a stance, ( It was my friends 10yr old daughter who insisted I try Copper, which is praise indeed). The food arrived promtly, servings on first glance weren't overwhelming yet I still couldn't eat all on the plate. I have told everyone I know what a good time I had and suggest you take a trip to Warrenpoint to try it for yourself. I haven't gone into detail about the special touches in Copper as that would spoil the surprise. [24 Apr 2005 09:14:07]

Fantastic food! My husband and I were in this absolutely fantastic restaurant on 21st April, the interior is gorgeous and the piano playing brill, the waitress was really friendly and made us feel so welcome. The food is 11/10, and we have eaten in many restaurants in w'point, this place is in a league of its own. All the food is so fresh (especially the homemade bread) and my salmon was divine.
