Not as good as it was
Well Fox Inn took over our beloved Smugglers Inn Hotel and now most of the old guests and locals have moved on. It was only 2 months after the take over that both the food and the service started to slide. After having 3 meals under the new owners we decided it was time to go. Once a very busy pub, restaurant and hotel, the Smugglers became a shadow of its former self. Now it has been 12 month since I ventured there so it might have all changed, if so I would be delighted.    [05 May 2005 06:05:52]

Under New Ownership
The inn is now under new management and is now not associated with the Fox Inns Hotel Group. Paul and Yvonne are now in the process of restoring the reputation of this busy pub, restaurant and hotel. Yes it has changed and is on the up.    [04 Aug 2006 01:18:42]
