A Warm Welcome
A favourite place to try when cooking seems like too much hassle, Massimo, the restaurant's owner, his brother and wife will give you a warm welcome, and some of his recipes brought over from Italy. There's a pre-theatre menu for around £7, and they'll be happy to cook you an old favourite.
Regular visitors usually get known by name, and even a picture up on the wall (I'm sure I'm there somewhere), next to the occasional footballer, and the entire Scottish Claymores team.
Great service, wonderful food (although I'm obliged to say that it's not as good as my dad's), and a good reception too.    [01 Dec 1999 12:56:18]

A Hidden Gem
This place looks out the way but is only five minutes by car from the city centre. Well worth the trip.
Authenticity is the name of the game, as Massimo, the proprietor makes you fell like a guest in his own Roman villa!
Excellent food, discrete atmosphere, good prices. Don't tell everyone or you'll never get booked!    [25 Jan 2001 04:13:47]

Newly Refurbished
Massimo is now in partnership with an old and trusted friend, Guiseppe, and together they have increased both the size of the original restaurant and the warm welcome given to customers on entering!!

Still in the same location, with expansion through to next door, Roma Mia has become one of the larger and more prominent Italian Restaurants on Glasgow's South Side.

A fabulous restaurant, with a menu to suit all tastes. If your preferred dish is not on the menu, then Massimo & Guiseppe will have it made especially for you, providing their chef's have the ingredients required.

A warm and welcoming atmosphere is provided for all customers, old and new, and with competitive prices and seamless service, it is little wonder that many of the new customers soon become old friends!
A charming place, well worth the visit.

Best of luck with the new venture.    [12 Aug 2002 08:57:01]
