Totally unacceptable and second rate establishment Service here is abysmal. The manager is an agitated man who cannot cope with the number of customers his establishment commands. I booked for a Saturday night at 8pm. The place was extremely busy, having been totally ignored in the doorway for fifteen minutes I finally questioned the manager when he headed out to the garden area to invite two ladies waiting further back the queue to take a seat. He didn't like being asked where our table for two was and after waiting a few seconds announced I cannot accommodate you, I cannot fulfill your reservation. Not too fussed whether I came back or not. Totally unacceptable and second rate establishment. [16 Jul 2005 12:28:33]

Ciao Roma isn't that bad I have to disagree with the anonymous person who slated Ciao Roma. I understand that the manager may have been a little rude but if this person has ever worked in customer service they would realise that sometimes don't go to plan and it can be stressful. By the manner in which they have written I can only assume that while standing in the doorway they had a big "f**k off" in flashing neon lights above their forehead and it's no wonder the manager was rude to them if he was at all!
I've been a couple of times and found it nothing but fantastic. The service is quick and the staff are polite. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.
So my advise to Mr Anonymous... if you want silver service go to Gleneagles! [15 Apr 2006 04:06:09]

Ciao Roma The food was excellent but we did not expect it to be like a fast food restaurant without the prices - we had a 3 course meal and coffee in an hour - not my idea of a relaxing meal. Also found that some staff did not speak English - not a big issue but can make it difficult to get what you want. [06 Mar 2007 03:20:04]

I went to Ciao Roma for the first time last weekend. I stood in the doorway for 10 minutes and had to ask 3 times to be seated. The waiter was rude and uninterested. I had the seafood tagliatelli which was advertised as having mussels, king prawns and calamari. The prawns were ok but the mussels smelled off, there was no calamari and the pasta was under cooked and clumped together. My girlfriend and I ordered a cheese board which came with sweetmeal digestive biscuits and jacobs cream crackers. The manager was very very rude and I wont be back. I have stayed in Perth my whole life and I'm very dissapointed. Terrible service. Terrible food. [05 May 2009 18:04:14]
