Staff I loved the food here but found the manager very unaccommodating. We always go here on a tuesday lunch because it is our day off as publicans. They do a superb buffet but it always seems to include a chicken korma that we dont find acceptable. He never seems to accommodate a change to the menu which we are happy to pay for. Quality Indian food in Wales at last!!! Moving from London to Cardiff I was dismayed at the scarcity of good quality Indian restaurants in the South Wales area. But at last here's one. Cafe Naz combine smooth style with a first class menu. The cooking really is of a high standard and recipes are often varied so there's always a slight difference. The service is good leading up to the main course, after that they loose interest, getting more drinks or the bill is hard work. Still, it's refreshing to enjoy a leisurely meal without the usual super-efficient waiter shadowing you! They give you as much time as you want and are always polite and gracious. Not so good A nice looking eatery. Food was poor, seemed to be precooked and then heated at your request. Waiters did not check if food was OK and getting attention was hard. When pointing out that food had been removed without being eaten the waiters seemed confused at why this should be an issue. No one seemed to know who was in charge, resulting in no one wishing to deal with the complaint/lots of waiting for someone to speak to. Even longer trying to get a bill to leave! Don't Go To Naz Small portions, unfilling, not worth the price you have to pay. [20 Apr 2004 05:04:32]

Won't be going again We saw CAfe Naz on the TV and thought that it would be a nice place to try as we eat this type of food at least once per week. We went without booking on a Saturday night and arrived about 8.15pm We were told that they would have a table in half an hour. SO we went just down a ways to the nearest bar and waited 15 mins to get a drink, then rushed it down to get back to Naz by 8.45pm When we got back, theys seemed unsure as to why we were told half an hour and we were asked to sit and wait for a table. This we did, although I did ask for a drink while I was waiting, 20 mins later I went up to the bar and got my own drink. We finally got a table about 30-40 mins after our alloted time. My comment here is if they had told us an hour, that would have been fine, and we would have come back! Anyway, the food was ordered as was a bottle of wine and a jug of water. Needles to say, that is what arrived. A jug of water and a bottle of wine - No Glasses!!. Then the popadoms and pickle tray, which comprised of mango chutney and mint sauce. When we asked for onion chutney and lime pickle, we were told it was finished! Yet tables arriving later did have at least the onion chutney. When the food did arrive I felt that it was not presented very well and was average to say the least. Also my naan bread was actually 4 pieces of naan, none of which matched each other! I complained and was told they cook in bulk and cut all nanns into 4 - A strange way to serve this side dish. Needless to say, I sent it back and ended up with a complete naan bread. Then the sauce which came with my meal was enough for only about a quarter of it, so more had to ordered. The final straw came when we asked for the bill and it was dropped on a dish at a height of about 8" by a passing waiter who didn't even stop to see if his aim was on target or not! We then asked to see the manager, who said that he was very sorry and would ensure we we treated better next time. I said that was not enough and I was only prepared to pay half of the £40 bill. He said no way and he would knock off the pint of lager. I said £5 and thats your lot. At which point he turned and just walked off. I left the extra fiver, my wife and I left - NEVER TO RETURN - Be warned! [26 Jun 2004 06:14:17]
