The Roberts' Family have been at Y Bistro for over two decades at their comfortable restaurant situated on the main street in the lake-side village at the foot of Snowdon.
During this time, Nerys has won many accolades for her cooking skills, the most recent being recommended in the red-book "Eating well in Wales" for excellent use of local produce. Indeed, over the years we have been included in all the major food guides here and abroad.
We pride ourselves on using local, seasonal produce whenever possible, because of this our menu changes daily. If you have any special dietry needs or you would like an idea of what on today's menu we can gladly help.

Over the past twenty years I have probably visited Llanberis just eight or ten times, whenever i do go i always make a point of eating in the Y Bistro restaurant. In my opinion this reataurant is one of the best, if not THE best restaurant in Wales. The food is always imaginative, consistently excellent and the place has a unique and intimate atmosphere. The restaurant has won award after award, year after year. The prices are a little high but you will be hard pushed to find a restaurant outside of any major city with this standard of quality and excellence. There are two 'must do' things when visiting Llanberis, one is to go to the summit of Snowdon whether by foot or by train and the other is to eat in the Y Bistro restaurant. If you have a choice between the two then forget the mountain! I hope that the restaurant is there and has the same proprietors for many years to come. Well done Y Bistro!! [02 Nov 2005 15:23:59]
