Amazing Ice Cream
The place looks like a slightly up market Little Chef, the chairs are stuck to the tables so if you’re very big then you’ll have to go elsewhere. The menu is also reminiscent of a Little Chef selection but the quality seems higher, better prepared and more thought gone into the creation of the food, so it’s like good pub food but with a much wider selection. The coffee is very good filter stuff and other drinks are of a reasonable standard. The ice cream however, deserves a review on its own. It is quite superb. About fifteen flavours, made by the restaurant owners, and it is quite amazing, having tried a number of Chocolate Ice Creams in my life I thought it had nothing new to offer, I was wrong.    [03 Jun 2004 10:19:55]
