A & W Rootbeer Floats.
My family and I ordered 3 root beer floats to go. The woman preparing them could barely speak English. First she filled the cups 3/4 full of warm root beer (that's right WARM root beer) and then added 1 skimpy scoop of vanilla ice cream to each cup. We were parked outside about 15 feet away and by the time we walked outside to our car and began to eat them there was barely any ice cream left. I returned to the store manager and demanded my money back and told the woman that I would be contacting A & W Corporate to file a complaint. I refuse to pay $2.69 for warm root beer topped off with melted ice cream. I told her that these were not acceptable - that she was CHEAP! She became irritated at me and then said "no be mad". I told her I was VERY mad and had every right to be angry. Growing up in Arizona, one the best memories I have was getting an A & W root beer float. My son is 7 and I want him to have the same kind of memory and to also stand up to these individuals who believe they can rip-off consumers by charging a premium price and then delivering sub-standard products and services.    [25 Feb 2008 13:28:28]
